How To Clean Up Snowmobile Piston Cylinders

Anyone know of a way to make clean aluminum out of nikasil cylinders? I over heated my sled and melted some of the piston to the cylinder wall.

Oh yeah, that will clean out in no time. And I had a hell of a fourth dimension finding muratic acid the start fourth dimension I had to buy information technology. Finally tracked information technology downward at a pigment supply. A quart will last you FOREVER. And y'all can get pretty rough with it. I used a apartment blade spiral driver to scrap it with. The acid will bubble like crazy on the aluminum but not on the plating. Then when it stops bubbling your clean. It takes a trivial work, be careful non to get it in the ports. Information technology eats aluminum but not the nicasil plating. your ports are NOT plated. Anyway, y'all will figure information technology out. Put some on, chip information technology, wife information technology out and put some more on. It does loose its potency and so you will have to re apply often. Then run a strop through them and their good as new.

Ane cylinder is clean. Second is ninety% done. this Acid is amazing. Thank you again for the help.
